keeping busy....

Feliz Cumple Omar!
My BOYS!

Go MSU! My friend Maggie and her son.

Here are some pictures of the past week.

I created a evening called TEEN TIME at the New Bridge English school. Teens come and hang out and we all speak English. I taught them some cards games which they do not have here ( Uno, SKIP BO, BLINK).

It was Omar's birthday. Keeping praying for him as he is battling cancer.
I then went to a volleyball game Saturday night. Argentina national team against Minnesota State University. We lost (MSU), but I did have a flag for them and cheered them on. I spoke with the coaches for a littel while. I enjoyed watching them.

I am now off to watch Juan play soccer, hopefullyl I will get a photo of him!
Enjoy the SPring/Summer weather.. we are now wearing jacket and the heat is ON!

AN update...FINALLY!

4th Anniversary!

Our new 4 square court!

I apologize for not updating, but my laptop had crashed and I had no ability to download photos. SOOO here is the update for the past four months.

Juan is in the routine of school; his last year. Yippee! He is also playing a lot of futbol. I have truly enjoyed watching him play. I think he is pretty good. The other day he scored a goal but I was late getting to the game and missed it :( but his name made it in the paper! and that now hangs on the fridge.

While Juan is in school, I have been teaching a few classes at the local english school and also volunteering in the hogar. I have taken on overseeing the computer room. I help kids learn to type, play games, and set up email accounts. I get attacked when I walk into the hogar because the kids are SO excited to use the computer! We had a group of college students come from the USA to visit and a young woman helped update the computer with games for the kids. They also donated some new mouses, as the old ones could barley work. A huge improvement for the computer room!

In March we had a group of high school students from an international school in Buenos Aires come for a few days. In Dec. the school broke the world record for playing the longest hours of 4 SQUARE! So the group painted a 4 square court and a hopscotch court! Kids are thoroughly enjoying them!

Carey is here now and we celebrated our 4th Anniversary! How time flys. Juan and I are enjoying time with him. He did complete his "to do list" while being here! :)
Well, that is the update for now. Enjoy the pictures! We hope you all are doing well.
