Adjusting

My birthday present, Nanny's refinished desk! Beautiful!

Yogi and Juan like BOCA!

Well, it is been a little over a month since we have been back. We are all doing well. Juan has been playing soccer four times a week, goes to work with Carey four times a week and goes to an English class once a week. He has been driving with us over the past month and recently I gave him my car keys to drive to soccer alone. Boy was I nervous, but he did fine! Does that feeling ever go away???

I have been scheduling doctors, dentist, and looking for some jobs and getting back into the housewife role.

The dogs are happy I am home and I am too. I did not realize how much I missed them. We are having fun playing ball and going for walks.

Well, we hope everyone is doing well. If you are in the area please stop by, we would love to see you!

HOME sweet HOME!

Omar and his wife Vilma on Christmas Eve. we will miss him dearly!

We all arrived home on Fri. the 5th. It was a bittersweet day. About an hour after Juan and Carey got home, we received a phone call from our friend Claudia that Omar (director of the hogar) passed away. We will miss him dearly. He was Juan's father figure for many many years. The community in San Nicolas lost a great man! Our prayers go out to Omar's family.

On happy note: Juan and I are doing well adjusting. I have been making phone calls and driving Juan around to play soccer! This week he has started working with Carey at his job. It is great to see him come home tired and dirty! I have looked around for some English classes also. As the weeks go on, we will find a nice schedule for Juan which will include soccer, English and working!

I am enjoying being back home spending time with the dogs and catching up with friends. I am getting use to do all the "household" THINGS! Carey is happy we are home!

We hope to reconnect with friends and family soon! Please give a call or stop by!

SURPRISE

Friends of Sandy's made this "luggage" cake, it had all the places they have travelled!

So, I am in Colo.! I surprised mom and dad for their surprise party that Sandy organized here in Hayden! They were surprised! Juan and Carey will arrive in Boston on March 5th from AR and I will from Colo.

The past few days in AR were tough! I am going to miss that community a lot! Yet, it feels great to be with family now! It has been a great experience, one I will always cherish! I am very excited to start our new chapter with Juan HERE!

I will continue update the blog of our transition back home!
Love,
Bonner

Just Hanging Out!

Boys hanging out!
The kids tied me and John up with jump ropes!

My buddy Lorenzo

Today I was able to just hang out with the kids at the park which was fun and get to know our visitors John and Steve! Tonight I am taking Juan out to dinner as tonight is our last night together. We have come a long way on this journey together. He has supported me as much as i have supported him. But we are both also looking forward to having Carey here TOMORROW and NOT having him leave us again!

3 More Weeks...

So the time is approaching quickly. I spoke at the church service at the hogar the other night to say my goodbye. Even though we have a few more weeks, it was the only time I would have to show a slide show etc. We/hogar will be busy with moving, exams and we have visitors coming to see the children. This was my "moment" with them. It has been a great experience. I really hope you will have a chance to experience what I have experienced. This hogar does a very good job with the children.
I will miss them calling my name at 30 times in 5 minutes, running up to me asking if I have any games for them to play or to just give me a hug! The community is very special and very caring!

We look forward to reconnecting with friends and family.
